Program Overview:
At the heart of Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Arusha our orphanage program provides sanctuary and holistic care for children who’ve experienced profound loss. These vulnerable young lives often arrive carrying invisible wounds – your presence becomes the stable foundation they desperately need. Through consistent care and emotional support, you’ll help rewrite their stories while supporting overwhelmed local staff in their critical mission to provide safety and opportunity.

What You’ll Do Daily:
- Morning: Assist with breakfast routines and hygiene care
- Midday: Lead educational games and homework support
- Afternoon: Organize creative activities (art, music, sports)
- Evening: Support bedtime rituals and maintain care records

Arrival & Orientation:
- Airport Pickup: Kilimanjaro, Mwanza and Arusha.
- Accommodation: Shared gender-separated hostel.
- Orientation: Cultural briefing & orphanage tour.
- Work Hours: 8am-4pm (6-8 hours daily).
Human-Centered Tips:
- Bring washable markers for collaborative art projects.
- Learn “Unacheza nini?” (What are you playing?) to join activities.
- Create a memory book with children (with staff permission).
