Our organization is structured with two dedicated boards of directors. In the United States, the Sure Wave Foundation board focuses on continuous fundraising to support all our programs and services. In Tanzania, the Sure Wave Foundation Tanzania board operates locally, ensuring that the children we serve receive precisely what they need. Meet all our current leaders and members!

SONIA MILLER
FOUNDER & CEO
Born and raised in Romania, Sonia has always been dedicated to helping neglected and impoverished children. Her passion for this cause started early in life and continued through her volunteer work during high school and university.
Her innate talent for connecting with children is extraordinary. Since the early 2000s, she has worked tirelessly with children’s charities in Las Vegas and California, such as the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Three Square, Catholic Charities, and Orangewood Foundation to create multi-media marketing materials which helped them raise millions of dollars for their programs.
The encounter of extreme poverty while volunteering at an orphanage in Tanzania inspired Sonia to establish the Sure Wave Foundation. This foundation aims to create self-sustaining, agriculture-based eco-villages that provide food, water, healthcare, and education to foster children, promoting independence from external aid.

ALBERT G. MARQUIS
CHAIRMAN /TREASURER
Albert G. Marquis, Chairman of the Board of Sure Wave Foundation, practiced business law in Las Vegas for nearly 50 years before retiring to the beautiful Kingston Ranch in Sandy Valley, NV.
Over the years Mr. Marquis has hosted many children’s camps at his ranch for organizations such as Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, Project Sunshine and various Boy Scout troupes.
His firm was instrumental in incorporating Sure Wave Foundation and securing its 501(c)(3) designation.
When asked why Americans should be interested in supporting children in Africa, he responded, “Kids are kids, no matter where they live. Compared to the orphans in Tanzania, Americans are wealthy beyond measure. Because Sure Wave has people and systems on the ground in Tanzania, we know that all contributions will directly benefit these children. We cannot turn a blind eye.”
